Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students from UGM. Short-Term Exchange Program and Engineering (STEP) is for undergraduate and graduate students who want to study at Tokyo Unversity of Agriculture and Technology. While Short-Term Program for Researching (SPRING) is for graduate students who want to conduct a research at TUAT. Both of the program will starts at October and offered in English. 80.000 yen per month scholarship is provided by JASSO
Eligible Students for STEP
- Undergraduate (3rd – 4th year) and graduate students from Faculty of Agriculte and Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UGM
- Fluency in English (Minimum TOEFL 520) Basic knowledge of Japanese language is not an essential requirement
- Minimum GPA 2.30 in JASSO scale
Required Documents for STEP
- STEP@TUAT Application Form (download)
- Certificate of Enrollment for TUAT issued from Faculty
- Transcript of Academic Record
- Explanation for Grade System of 3 with an authorized signature from Office of International Affairs
- Two recommendation letters written by the faculty members of the home institution. The letters should be written in either Japanese or English
- Completed Health of Certificate (in English) — use the attached form above
- Result of TOEFL or other equivalent documents
- Copies of Passport and ID (Students who have a passport must attach the copy to the application)
- Application form for the JASSO — use the attached form above
- Surat Pencalonan Dekan
- Document Submission for STEP
Submit two (2) copies of your application documents to Office of International Affairs in a complete package containing all the above documents before 16 February 2011.
Eligible Students forSPRING
- Master students from Faculty of Agriculte and Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UGM. Doctor Program students will not be accepted
- Fluency in English (Minimum TOEFL 520) Basic knowledge of Japanese language is not an essential requirement
- Strong academic and research capability
- Minimum GPA 2.30 in JASSO scale
